Well shit, when your teams owner describes the season, before it starts as, "gonna be tough," I think we all know where this is going. I watched all the preseason games and for the most part...they all need more practice. I hope this will be an exciting year, lots of standout players and incredible plays, but I'm not fully sold on the new guidelines set. There doesn't seem to be as many players who came to camp "ready to get it!" So, my Cowboys suck, how about your team?

Well as a proud Packers owner you can only imagine what team I'm cheering for. I watched all of my team's games and as many teams as I could fit in. Even though the preseason games are nothing like the "real" thing I still like watching them. I'm all geared up and ready to go for the season to start. I saw a lot of teams with some great potential. So regardless of who you cheer for... it's gonna be a great season. Go Pack go!

The Giants went 5-0 in preseason, but they seem to be in a lot of trouble anyway. The offence is not clicking, and the pre-season wins all came late when the second and third stringers were on the field. But Eli Manning does have the pedigree as he has won two super bowl's for coach Tom Coughlin, so I am always optimistic on opening day, but I also have a feeling that this may not be our year, but the season stretches from September through early January, so let the games begin and let the chips fall where they may. Go Big Blue!!!

Openly gay Michael Sam getting opportunity with Dallas Cowboys

I just read this on AOL news. Beth would love to have Michael Sam as a Cowboy, I would imagine.

Michael Sam may have a new passageway to the NFL.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cowboys plan to bring him to Dallas for a physical Wednesday, per team source. If all goes well, Sam will be a member of the Cowboys' practice squad.

Sam was cut and then passed over by the Rams for one of their 10 practice squad spots; it's highly unlikely he will have an NFL job for at least the first week of the season.

It would be great to have him as part of the team; right now they're saying he'll be on the practice squad. Hell, he showed enough enthusiasm and energy (3 sacs preseason with the Rams) that I hope he quickly moves to the team.

I can only imagine the reaction of the right wing nut jobs in Texas if this happens. Led by Rick Perry, of course.

Sam had an outstanding preseason with the Rams, but there was just too much depth at his position. If the Cboys sign him even to practice squad, he will have earned it on his merits. While I detest Jerry Jones, I give him props if this happens.

Good luck tomorrow, but it's tough to beat us at home. Better bring wine with "the cheese" lol

LOL... I hate to admit it, but I am not looking forward to tomorrow's game. It's a little rough playing you guys with all the history and being in your home only makes that worse! A newbie center is only going to make the noise that much worse.

I know that some Cowboys play football. But I didn't know their horses did too. haha :001_tongue:

Love you Beth!

Fuck, I thought I fixed that earlier. But I wouldn't mind if my boys "cowboyed up":welcome: at least they'd be fun to watch!

Repeating as Super Bowl champions will be very difficult, but I wish you and your Seahawks luck this year Peter.
Your sooooo full of shit!! I hope nobody believes that your sincere about that statement. lol

I bet Tony Romo won't fumble the soap in the shower now like he does a football!! LOL

Hope Michael Sam does very well and is given a chance to do so!!

Remember Rick...size matters! Tony probably hasn't worked with something that large in a while. As for Sam, I hope he transfers from the practice to the team; he does know how to play hard (nope, not going there).:001_tongue:

I hope he gets to play not because he's a "first" but just because I think he's got great potential. Bet it will be no time and an injury brings him out to play.

Peter, your team plays in the NFC West and mine in the NFC East, and they're not playing each other during the regular season, so I have no reason to root against the Seahawks. Geez, you make it so hard for me to be nice. :sneaky2:

My team look good this afternoon/evening. This city was buzzing all day (could be from the legal pot and starbucks) :hippy: but the Seahawks are playing like the Superbowl champs they are. Hope everyone got to see the game and views of my beautiful city!!!
