I know I'm going to get some backlash from this post but oh well. Why are people so worried about the models working out? When did the fact of accepting somebody how they are go away? So what if guys don't have washboard abbs. Commenting on models because they are not to ones body preference is shallow and has at sometimes been mean the way it was said. Why not just comment on their performance? I understand one has to be attracted to who they are watching or whatever, but why not just the performance? If a model is not up to your expectations why watch the scene at all and then just put them down? Why not just watch it and be nice and say nothing? If one can't get past a models body and watch the performance and rate it on that maybe Bel Ami is more suited. I'm not trying to be a dick but I'm just curious. One has to wonder if a model is one and done maybe its because of comments made about how they look and feel they are not accepted just because of how they look and not how they perform. Why not just give the models a chance weather they are fit as a fiddle or not so much.ng but oh well.

Hi Billy,

You asked a valid question and I'd like to try to give an honest answer from my perspective. To me, porn is different than any other job. For many years I managed a warehouse and hired guys and girls to unload trucks, do receiving, assembling parts into kits that we sold as well as order picking and packing. At the end of the day it was clear to me who was producing and getting the job done, based on their abilities and hard work. But it is not the same kind of work to be a porn star, and as shallow as it may be on my part, for me to enjoy a porn scene, and get excited, the model has to above all else turn me on.

Even in my youth, I was never beautiful or had a great body and if I had tried to do porn, I would have failed miserably no matter how hard I tried, so this is a business in my opinion for only the few who have the natural God given gift of great looks. I know you are a baseball fan, as I am, and if a player who could not hit or catch the ball, tried out for a team, and the fans booed him and the team cut him, is it the team and the fans who were being cruel or was the job applicant who was not fit for that profession?

As I always say, there is no right or wrong in porn and a guy who turns me off may be someone else's favorite porn star, so I am just offering one man's opinion, but if someone else enjoys guys who are chunky or very skinny or whatever, that is okay too, but as this is a forum to express my opinions about Broke Straight Boys, I will still offer my opinion based on my perspective. And I respect the right of anyone else to offer a differing opinion from their own personal perspective.

Ahhhh funbilly: You ask the kinds of questions I asked when I first started participating on the forum!:smiley-love021: After being here a while, I used to wonder "Why are people so critical? After all, these guys are here for our entertainment, why would you say things that are so insensitive and frighten them away?" The most common response; "Well if they can't take the heat....." well, you know the rest!

It took me a while to realize that, my sensitivities may not be shared by everyone on a public forum. People will be people and they will express themselves as they wish! I've learned that is not something you or I or anyone can control. I've learned to take the bitter with the sweet! By expressing your thoughts, you've done all you can do. If someone reads your comments, they may give thought to how they comment......or not. Most of all, I have learned to accept this as part of how it all works.

My comment is in support of you and your way of thinking.......at least I feel what your saying:smile:

Finally, someone else said it! I made the same inquiry a few weeks ago about members commenting on the appearance of the models and being so critical. I understand that everyone is entitled to their opinions but sometimes the things they say seem so mean. I often wonder if these guys are leaving after a couple of scenes because of all the insensitive things said in these forums. I have been a member for a few years now and never commented on the forums. However, after reading some of the things regarding the appearance of some models, I wanted to ask why people had to critique how they looked more than the performance. The responses I received were merely shallow and "they're here for our entertainment..." I was even referred to as "the forum police."

No, actually you were refereed to as the "Opinion Police." Listen, right, wrong, nasty or nice, everyone is entitled to their own personal opinions and are free to express them as they see fit. I'm not saying I wholly disagree with the thrust of the idea. I see no need for someone to go out of their way to be mean and nasty about someone else. There's never a need to be hurtful. However, some members believe that as they pay money to view the site that they are free to critique the models. Are they wrong? No, I don't think so. It is a part of the entertainment business as a whole, not just porn -- actors and actresses are called out all the time for looking one way or another, gaining or losing weight, changing hair styles or whatever. Is it right? Well, as the fans support them I'm not sure. Getting into any sort of public position -- acting, politics, porn, music, whatever, you have to have a thick skin because people ARE going to be critical. Its just a part of the job, like it or not. So as a few people have posited, IF some of the guys leave after only doing a few scenes because of criticism on the forums then they are too thin-skinned and a job where you are wholly exposed to the public is not for them.

I don't feel that it's my responsibility to take others tastes or feelings or those of the Models into consideration. I don't want to take them as they are. For me ( And Millions of others) Porn is about Fantasy. Part of that Fantasy for Many of us has to do with appearance. YES.... I want them buff. YES..... I want them Beautiful! That's the point. And I don't apologize for my views.

It's kind of like the serenity prayer.........LOL Except it can be called the "How to keep your sanity....and perspectives while reading posting and participating.....on a forum" Ha Ha Ha!

I'm not caught up in the great trimmed chiseled body type. I am more attracted to the model' s personality and how he interacts with his partner(s) and that honesty turns me on. A guy that looks like a boy next door, a regular college guy, or a young athlete are all the same to me. So I don't criticize these models for their body types. Recently I watched a scene and one model had little to no real interaction and I felt it in the performance. He fucked, came and got off and started walking away.

I read the forum purely for entertainment. I laugh at many comments and often made by the same group of individuals. All are free to express their thoughts while a few do in fact attack those that do not agree with them. And I find that amusing. To me Broke Straight Boys has two parts, the scenes of porn (which for the most part I enjoy) and the forum that allows individuals an opportunity for their few minutes.

I say keep writing on the forum! This is a free additional portion of the Broke Straight Boys site and if you just read it you are sure to laugh...often

Let's give them a good laugh. I don't always agree with you Judge. But what a good honest post. You do speck the truth..And as someone else said if they can't take a little criticism. There in the wrong
line of work...Being a Porn Star takes some Big Balls....

I want myself personally to be buff and slim and sexy
I go to the gym everyday because I want to I work out 2-4 hours a day daily just because its my goal to look a little better everyday.
I have a weight gain goal not a weight loss goal I want to be 160 by December!
I know looking sexy fits the industry but when I work out its for me and for me only. Like sure before my shoot I worked a little harder and longer and I post pics after and during gym time but still the main purpose and motivation of gym time is all me

So on a side note
Im torn between this are Pokemon go game.
Like I personally think its silly
Butttttt it does get a lot of people up and moving
Like I said I don't need that kind of motivation to get up and go
So I see the benefits of it but still at the same time I think its really silly lol

My first connection with a guy may be their smile, personality or body type. That's first.. But what kills it is their personality. Their ability to form complete sentences. The way they get grossed out about cum, etc. If they don't want to do this, then don't. I can't stand Tim because he speaks so poorly. That's the biggest turn off.

I agree barefeet & Observer. I certainly agree and am grateful that we all have a right to express our opinion on a scene or model. BUT why can't we voice our opinions especially negative comments in a nice manner. Why not constructive criticism instead of destructive criticism? We all can make a negative comment with out being nasty and making someone feel like they are less.
I know some just don't give a shit how they make people feel so good for you. Why can't we just be nice while we say how we feel and think?

Because we now live in an internet-driven world where anonymity grants us the ability to say whatever we feel without having to look someone in the face while doing it. This has done away with social filters and in many cases, good manners. It is also a me-first, instant gratification world, where people feel their needs and opinions come first before anyone else's. This is not just a young person's issue, either, it spans all generations. Older folks, who typically are known to be kind and considerate, have also become rude and selfish. It is the world in which we live today, all impersonal while globally-connected yet anonymous, so rudeness, catfishing and trolling have just become accepted as a part of our every day life. Of course, not all people are like that. Fortunately, there are those who still have manners and compassion and stand up to internet bullies.

GOT DAMN! I had no idea you wrote poetry? Because, that was pure poetry for me to read! We can sum it all up in different ways but, what you just said in your own words was....Poetry to me:drool::smiley-love021::thumbup::smiley-love001:

I agree guys!

Great posts. Thank you for putting that point of view forward as well. One can get worn down by negativity at times and become defeatist. As in, Well that's just the way the world is nowadays, with the internet anonymity to be able to say things about another human being that you wouldn't dare say to their face. *Throwing up hands in helplessness* We can still stand up for what we believe is the right way to behave and treat each other. For instance we can stand up to internet bullies. We don't have to just put up with what we perceive to be too much rudeness.

While none of us in here is perfect, and we are all prone to occasionally saying things in anger and frustration, we can still strive to respond to the call of our better angels when we speak...or type.

Thank you sir, you flatter me! It is the great irony of the interwebs -- we are globally connected, yet more isolated than ever.

Well I concur with the pair of you....For me it is rather simple...back in the day when I was In the closet and trying to be straight I was picking up guys "Just as they were"....They weren't coming from Gym's, they didn't have work out Regime's, They came off the farm, from the factory's, from construction sites, They came from the local bar rooms, Hot , Tired and Extremely horny......that's who i picked up......There are guys that turn me on and guys that don't, doesn't matter the color or size...It's all in what is pleasing to the mind's eye at the time......Guess I'm one of the Silent Majority on this subject, seems all we hear are the ones ( MEMBERS) being critical of the boys not being in the right shape.....Well I will Take mother Natures Natural looks over Factory Built looks anytime.....
