Your two cents, may be worth more than two cents.
Not that I agree 100% percent, but I do agree with a lot of it.
Agreed Ms.K.,
Deeteedub has pretty much summed up the things that we didn't like about the scene. I agree with most of but not all of his points. This vid was done before any viewer feedback had the chance to show up in future scenes. So we have to give them some latitude there. The tossing of money, etc.
Doing away with all negotiation at the beginning would be a real break from
Broke Straight Boys of the past. It's always been done this way. It does tend to emphasize the amateur, reality aspect of the site. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. The fact that the models present themselves as straight, amateur and somewhat unwilling is part of the allure of this site. But constant negotiating that drags on too long can bring down a scene.
As for telling the models to make some noise I have no problem with Clay doing that. If porn models go into silent mode, as if they are doing a silent film, then something has to be said or done...fast! And that
has happened on more than one occasion. But the models should be made aware of the fact that they will have to emote and make some noise, even if it is just some soft moaning
before the scene starts.
Rocco for instance, even though he is possibly very straight, gives alot the cheesy professional porn lines over on
College Dudes "Take that fuckin dick!" Etc... So while we don't want him to come across as a professional porn star over here, he tends to tone it down too much. That's where the director needs to step in. We don't want him screaming things like, "Shove that dick in my tight little hole!" but he can't play it so straight that his scenes are so low key and dull as to be barely watchable. A little more calibration of his onscreen demeanor I feel is in order. Since he already knows how to do the screaming and yelling kind of sex, then he should be able to find a range that is closer to straight but not silent and listless.
I know that Rocco wasn't in this scene but the same issue applies to other models.
The same goes for Tony who has also done porn work before. Yes, we want the models to come across as straight. That's important over here on
Broke Straight Boys But by the same token they have to do enough in the scenes to entertain the viewers. If putting two or more straight guys together comes across as too boring to watch, then what's the point?
