I was really surprised also that with all the new stress (both scholastically and socially) of starting his Freshmen year of college...in the dorms no less...that he decided to take such a plunge into the unknown. At the very least I would expect a college student to wait until his sophomore year before considering something like this. Maybe he has heavy financial pressures. I also wondered if he would be a one and done. From my own selfish standpoint, I hope not. But I also hope that he does whatever is best for him.
