I was a long time member of Broke Straight Boys some time back but left after the change in format. I didn't like it then, and I find I still don't like it. I have a hard time believing most of the new guys are straight. I make myself watch the entire new episodes thinking this one has to be better than the last. By about 3/4 of the way through I'm waiting for it to end. Where David blathered on to much and often repeated himself, now there's no banter at all. It's take your clothes off and fuck. I haven't seen any remarkable dicks or any real remarkable sex. If I want to get turned on by anything on this site I have to watch the old episodes that were shot by David. I hope it's working for a lot of you guys it just doesn't do it for me. One more thing. The sound is still terrible. Before I thought it was just my laptop. I now have a brand new (like 3 months old) one and I still can't hear a thing where I have no trouble hearing on any other site. I guess I'm coming across here as a bitchy. I still see a lot of familiar names in the forum section so obviously many of you have stayed. I just don't get the attraction to the new site. Am I missing something??? My subscription runs out the end of the month which will be the end of two months so I think I've given Broke str8 Boy's a fair amount time to impress me. If any of you good people can tell me what I'm not getting about the direction this site has taken I'd love to hear from you. Maybe you can change my mind before my subscription ends.

It is nice to hear from you Gerald. I'm only sorry that you decided to first start posting, near the end of your subscription here. I do tend to agree with you that there was something annoying, but I also found something charming about when David "blathered on to much and often repeated himself".

Yet I do still enjoy watching a newbie do his solo here, and trying to decide if he is truly straight, and if he will be returning to interact with another model, and to see what he will do here. And while my favorite all time Broke Straight Boys'ers are from David's version, there are enough newbies that have gotten me excited here, (Jimmy, Bobby, Rocco, AJ, Kodi, and other's who do not immediately come to mind).
I guess that I am one of the familiar names that have stayed from the "good old days", but there is nothing that I can say that can make you decide if you should stay or go, as it is your money and your decision. I still enjoy the basic concept of the site, as being broke young straight guys, going out of their comfort level, and doing gay stuff for money, and perhaps discovering that it feels way better than they ever expected.
Whatever you decide to do Gerald will be the right decision for you, but I'd love to hear more from you here on the forum in your remaining time here. I've often thought that the vast majority of members of this site never post, and I believe that our opinion's of what the public truly wants is skewed by the small group of us who post all of the time.

I know where you are coming from, I am pretty much in the same boat. I really stay here at Broke Straight Boys because of the forum, even though the forum sometimes can be frustrating. Still, the forum is pretty much my only communication with people, aside from work, so I do enjoy coming here and having interactions with some of the folks here who are truly nice and can be quite supportive. But alas, my current employment is coming to an end and Broke Straight Boys will become a luxury I may not be able to afford, so I too am asking myself if it is worth my limited and hard earned dollars. Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry you aren't happy with the site. A year or so ago we changed the format and members didn't like all the banter and now there isn't enough. We are trying to find a happy medium where everyone is happy but it is impossible to make everyone happy. We are working SO hard on making things better. I've been making some huge changes with models, camera work, editing (which you will notice soon and a newer set.

I was wondering if I was the only one having problems hearing the dialogue. I have turned my audio up all the way and I still can't hear the things being said. I don't have this problem with any other site.

I agree with the majority, I have been a member for a very long time now, and i am still 100% hooked on, and favor BSB1 with David and the models back then. There is just something different now. I have and continued watching, every week, and try to gain my love back on the site from years ago. Some scenes are def very good now. But its not the same still.
Maybe like a reunion thing, like get some of the old models back for a little "old school". That may be enough to satisfy everyone's taste. Remember Alex and Chris, Rabib and Daxter and that hottie Price? Damn, so many more from Broke Straight Boys 1 i loved.

I also have more favorites from BSB1, but I understand that that is statistically correct. I will have more favorites out of ______ years of filming, than I will from only one.

It must be dyed into the wool. My current favorite Broke Straight Boys-2 model is Jason Matthews, who as we all know got his start back in the "good ole days", I call the "Golden Years of Broke Straight Boys-1". Simply put, how can anyone appreciate Broke Straight Boys fully without the comparison of the original formula with David to the current generation of Broke Straight Boys Broke Straight Boys-1 and David, himself, may have cum and gone and had their faults, but they also produced timeless classic episodes repeatedly to withstand the test of time. This is such a legacy David left us.
Years from now, we will be better able to see Clay's legacy and how it truly compares with our own Gold Standard. It is indeed a tough act for Clay to follow. Certainly, David did not have the midas-touch turning all episodes to Gold.
But, in addition to Jason, we have had the likes of Colin, Bobby, Chad, BLAKE and others that have been doing their best to fill in the void (no pun intended).
Episodes have improved recently. Who knows when or if they will ever exceed the best of David's Best?

Thanks Stimpy, I understand, that everyone has different tastes, fantasies, and different things in guys that get them going.
I just think some sort of a reunion, would be a great plus for the members. I understand that all the previous models may not be willing, but i am sure some are. It make take some work, but i think it would please most members.

While I understand where you are coming from, I can say that I have no interest in seeing too many of those models from BSB1 return. And to truly re-create BSB1, even for an episode, would require that they bring back David and Eddie, I mean if you really want to make it real. My guess is that David would only return if he brought along his favorites, and they were not always my favorites. Honestly, I can only think of 3 boys I would care to see again, Logan, Danny, and Jeremy. Besides, years haVe passed for many of these boys, who are probably no longer broke, and most definitely no longer straight (at least not newbie straight). For myself, I am content to simply revisit their glory days right here in the archives, when they were young, straight, and desirable. But, that is just me!
