Also, in the porn shops at the time, Gay Porn was relegated to either behind the counter sealed in plastic wrap and if opened, you had to pay for it with no discussion OR you could locate it in some remote and unidentified corner of the store, so you definitely could not have happened onto the "Gay Section" by accident without first having some conviction in your footsteps! I remember when Playboy started selling full-frontal nudity of their women models and the uproar it created and this was in the late 1960's!

Back in the early VHS days, you were considered to be very lucky to have a second VCR or video camera with dubbing cables at your home to illegally copy grainy VHS porn tapes while only renting them. Regardless, these were a lot better alternatives to letting your fingers do the walking in the standard bearer of free porn of the day, namely the tried and tested Sears & Roebucks, JC Penney, or Montgomery Ward's catalogs! These catalogs were routinely hidden away with illustrations of women's underwear, corsets, bras, and (of course just for our pre-Broke Straight Boys fans) the men's underwear/swimming wear sections ws very popular too. These were too much in demand to be carelessly and frivolously squandered away as "free toilet tissue substitutes".

While I am not young, I truthfully am not so old as to have ever had the occasion to use any part of any catalog as "Toilet tissue"! Think about it, when we talk today of porn stars having anal bleaching performed, think how bad this must have been on your bottom before manufacturing dedicated single-purpose toilet paper was introduced on the market. Please dont take the following as a racist comment as everybody was in the same fix: I can only imagine a lot of "black newspaper-print asses" back in the "good old days", irrespective of your race.
