Have you ever been on a straight or gay cruise?

Curious who has been on a gay cruise or even a straight cruise. I have been on a both but wanted to share my experience. A few years ago I went on a gay cruise. I was single at the time and my x called me up and was trying to find someone to share a room with on a gay cruise. I was single so I thought what the hell. I had such an amazing time. The group my x hangout with was amazing and they were all super welcoming. For the first time in my life and felt so comfortable and free. I did things I would never normally do like dance on the dance floor. I am in a wheelchair so some things are hard to do mentally as well as physically. Everyone on the ship was super amazing and I didn't really feel attitude from anyone. We went to a special dining room a lot because the first time we went we had a very hot Russian waiter. He was straight but he loved working gay cruises haha. Probably because he made a shitload of money because we tipped him so much haha,. He could put up with us hitting on him and flirting with him. The staff said over and over how much they loved working when it was for a gay cruise. They brought on so many decorations and DJ equipment and crazy lighting for the outdoor club basically that had so many lasers. It was an amazing time. Of course there was sex everywhere you could imagine. Being a porn owner I have seen my share of crazy things but this was blowjobs on the dance floor, in the sauna, steam room etc. It was more public stuff than I had seen before haha. It was an amazing experience. One thing to keep in mind whether you are single, a couple or whatever you will get what you want out of cruise. If you want to hoe it up you can certainly do that., If you are in a monogamous relationship that works too. We had a bit of everyone in our group. Funny thing is we were one of the first people on the Celebrity Edge ship and when we docked they made it into a straight cruise and removed all the decorations, DJ equipment, crazy lighting and lasers lol. There is definitely a huge difference between straight and gay cruises LOL. I highly recommend cruise whether you go on a gay or straight one they are super fun either way.

Eddie and I have been on many cruises over the years but never on a gay cruise. I heard from so many that going on a gay cruise is amazing but when I see videos, it looks like a huge floating bathhouse for some reason.

We are so accustom to going on straight cruises we find that all of them thus so far have cocktail parties each night for the LGBTQ community onboard. Years ago it was called "The Friends of Dorothy", I didn't understand at the time, the reference of "Dorothy" and having a group of gay man gather together but then I understood the connection once we went to the gathering.

You will be very surprised how many gay men travel together on a straight cruise, my very first gathering, of course on vacation, in the middle of the ocean on a cruise ship, once I introduced myself, they all recognized my voice and ask if I was the guy that filmed Broke Straight Boys, which I told I did and I was the life of the party. A lot of cruise directors and there assistance are gay so at this particular gathering, the cruise director throughout the cruise treated us like royalty.

We have often gone to many of the gatherings and they are fun, most of the times with straight cruises, we also meet a lot of older couples and make friends with them. I've noticed that on cruise ships, nobody is judgmental and both Eddie and I have always felt comfortable being on straight cruises.

Okay, its a bit more laid back, not crazy and no crazy dance parties, drag queens and such but I prefer the relaxation of the ship and the down time and to disconnect from it all so perhaps that is why we never took a gay cruise.

On a side thought, I always thought that we as the "gay porn community" to have a porn convention on a ship, sort of like Phoenix forum but on a ship. Also I've always wanted to film porn on a ship as well one day.

Very nice you'll need a passport. I highly recommend Celebrity. I've been on them twice now and will definitely cruise with them next time. Even by yourself you will have a great time. People are super friendly and nice. I saw plenty of people by themselves and talked to one really nice lady who was cruising alone.

Keep in mind a 5 day cruise ends up being shorter because you don't get on the ship until later in the day usually and you come back early in the morning on the last day.

I really like a balcony and personally liked the exclusive restaurant access to Blu (haha I didn't name it) and Luminae. I'll write more about that later

I find it a lot more relaxing when I'm in a queer place, because I'm not out at the moment. I can act myself in a bar in town, but that's about it. I can at times in out house at uni, but it's even an issue there So it must have been lit going there, I'd love that.

I'm into public stuff too, I'm a bit ashamed of it but I enjoy doing things in the toilet that people can see. Not sex, but have had oral a lot in the loo with people watching. It's a turn on, I get why people do it.

Went on a straight cruise with Celebrity in November. It was such an amazing time. I had got an upgraded cabin because it was for my 50th birthday and that is all they had. Having that gave us exclusive access to their restaurant which was the best food I've had in my entire life. This happened everyday where we were like holy shit this food is the best. Well I found another Celebrity cruise for almost a third of the cost so I booked another one lol. Cruises are so much fun.

I have done a straight cruise with P&O I really enjoyed it. I used to work in the travel industry years ago, and we didn’t offer many gay cruises. I really want to do another cruise, but don’t know if an exlcusively gay cruise would be my thing. I am always open to trying new things though!

Has anyone been on a Virgin Voyage cruise? I was looking at some of their sailings (due to the adults only policy, I'm past my screaming children days LOL) and their prices seem reasonable. I would probably be traveling alone (unless I can convince my FWB to tag along), so any tips?

I have watched several YouTubers on their ships and it looks amazing, but nothing compares to peer reviews haha

Never been on a cruise ship in my life. But I did go boating with Uncle Sam back in the 70s and, afterward while working for Interior, I used to sail to the more remote islands in the former Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands [now called Federated States of Micronesia]. So, no fancy dining or blow jobs on the dance floor. However, on those older destroyers I was on, there were stowage compartments you could secure from inside and if one needed a private moment with a shipmate, it could happen. Likewise, in Micronesia back then, the local lads had a very flexible attitude when it came to sex. If you grew up say on Kapingmarangi Atoll, all the young ladies there were related to you so off limits. So, a haole who was willing was very popular when he sailed into the lagoon for a week's survey.
