OMG... Charlie as my birthday present would be amazing. Had he not dropped out of doing 50 Shades of Grey the movie might not have been so bloody awful.
Thank you to all of you for the birthday wishes. I'm sorry it took so long to say that, I only just noticed this thread tonight as I was trolling through older posts.
I turned 50 this year and I'm grateful for every breath I take. In 6 days I celebrate six years nicotine free, the following day I celebrate six years post triple bypass, a surgery I nearly didn't survive. I've coasted some for the last few years, being suddenly unable to work and having to accept that I would be on disability at 45 was a hard pill to swallow. It is far to easy to slide into apathy and pity for oneself.
This year is the year I make a comeback, I'm to young to not be enjoying my life and not making the best of what I have. So, this is the year I have gastric bypass surgery, not a decision I've arrived at easily. But I have the support of my family and my medical team. I want to be able to keep up with my 4 year old niece. I've been her live in nanny since she was 1 and I refuse to waste anymore years unable to sit on the floor with her.
So thank you all, for the wishes and for welcoming me to the forums. Here's to 50 more!
I just wanted to let you know that if you use the "New Posts" tab in the upper left side of the screen, that is much easier to do than going through the two lists of forum threads individually. You can instantly be made aware if there are new threads or new posts to threads you've already posted on before.
