I noticed in todays post of the sword that the grabby;s award ceremony was held this evening! No Broke Straight Boys nominations - unusual in that last year both damian kyle(best newbie) and Paul Canon (not sure which category paul was nominated for) were in the running. This was disappointing because i think Broke Straight Boys has better looking and acting models that are apparently going to win! Wonder what it takes to have a models name entered for competition? Would love to see dakota, paul,damian and brandon nominated1

I don't get the "sword" (though I did google it a while back)! Anyway, there are quite a few sites that I visit from time to time. I mostly follow certain models and when they appear in a scene, I'll check out the site for a brief. I didn't mean to but, I've started comparing minor technical aspects of sites with Broke Straight Boys Most of the sites have done up grades to the web page designs and quality of videos (even ABFT has stepped up their quality) but, the over all "Gonzo" style filming (at least on the sites I've visited) is definitely "owned by" Johnny Robbins! Even on some of the sites who feature "Major names/players" in the porn industry, could take a note page or two from Johnny's book! Understandably, there are different styles and the scenes on other sites tend to be "scenario" type, not "reality", but, even with the higher quality streaming and downloads, camera angles, editing...etc....I've really come to appreciate what Johnny has brought to BluMedia productions! To me, that's saying a LOT considering the vast competition out there! Perhaps, next year, the site will get another nod, if nothing else, for the greatest overall improvements! That's Just My Opinion!

Can you post the site information for this "sword", I would be interested in it for future references? Thanks bruh!
 
Well, my "Dumbass":booty: I wasn't familiar with the "periodical" so it's "The Naked Sword"! Excuse my ignorance! But I did get a chance to review some of the stuff and I was intrigued by one little tid bit that I observed.

At least "one" and in some cases more, of any models who the sword chose as their picks in any number of the categories up for nomination, an Alumni "College Dudes" appeared in every list! What a great site to have launched so many careers!:thumbup:

Just wanted to add that I was nominated "web performer of the year" but sadly didnt win an award

in my opinion if you were nominated you most definitely should of won as you are an amazing performer who puts your all in to every scene you do you always seem to gel with every model that you work with and of course it helps that your an amazing looking bloke with a great personality.

Sorry to hear that Paul since as others have noted and I also believe, you put a lot of effort into your work. You have a smoking body and a wonderful personality. In fact if we lived close to each other I would almost invite you home to meet mother, except you would try to steal you away from me.

it's hard for guys from Broke Straight Boys to win such awards when you compare them with the other sites. Guess it's all down to categories and maybe the voters don't think that the broke guys here are indeed broke or str8.. just saying.
 
So glad everyone else agrees paul should have won award1 still would like to know how one makes nominations to grabbys?

I recall the same thing Johnny. I think we were told that Ian was nominated for "newcomer of the year" and Paul for performer of the year.
