This was a great, lengthy interview with upcoming model, Aiden Asher. Aiden tells of his experience attending a Christian school and then his experience in the military. Even though he’s gay, he has a masculine, straightish kinda vibe. I found him to be very likable and honest. Great interview. I’d love more of these type of interviews in the future as extra BTS material.

You said it all Jay. I totally agree. :thumbup1:

Well at least he was articulate and the sound was such that I could hear him clearly. I felt, in some respect, that I was a fly on the wall in a shrink's therapy session. It will be interesting to see how he performs because from the way he has presented himself, it seems that we might be in for more vanilla, mind-numbing sex. But sometimes it's the quiet placid types who can surprise you. Hope springs eternal and time will tell.

I really enjoyed this interview. :) It certainly gave us a more three dimensional view of him as a person.

He is a decent, sort of masculine, addition to Broke Straight Boys, and what we really have is a gay, very experienced "bottom" that in no way represents the Broke Straight Boys mantra. Understanding that the pickings are few, I guess we should be happy that we have any new, to this site, guys filming. I suspect that what we will get, based on what I saw of him on-line, is the standard blowjob, and legs up in the air for a fucking. Broke Straight Boys's will have to come up with some pretty masculine tops to make this work. I guess we will see what Nico is made of and maybe bring Masyn Thorne back for some pretend masculinity to work him over. While he does present himself well in the interview, lets face it, there isn't much talking once the scenes get filming.

You are 100% correct SFPS01. Aiden seems like a terrific, articulate, handsome young man with a fascinating story to tell about coming to grips with his being gay by trying to have sex with a girl, needing to be closeted at his religious high school and again in the Marines. And it was terrible to hear that he was gay bashed and beaten more than once while serving in the Marines just a few years ago. I thought we were past that point in America.

But at the end of the day, he is a gay porn model and so he is another in a long line of current Broke Straight Boys models that I do not intend to watch in his sex scenes unless he is paired with a "believably" straight guy. I love David and thoroughly enjoyed his interview with Aiden, but I disagreed with one thing that he said. When he spoke to Aiden about applying to Broke Straight Boys, David commented something to the effect that no one cares any more if a guy is straight or not. I know at least one person who still cares and that is me. And I suspect that there may be a few others who still care, though we may be few and far between. But it is what it is and I will wait for my type of guy to return to the site. Gino was definitely a step in the right direction and perhaps there will be more.......

You can add me to the list of those who care if the models are gay or straight. I want the straight ones, or at least believable straight..Not sure who these upcoming boys are (Bentley and Nico) but I will hold out hopes that they will be at least "mostly straight".....Not sure where David got the idea that we paying members don't care. We do, its just that lately we have had to settle for much less..

I don't blame David in any way. He is the man who scouted and hired the original Broke Straight Boys for Mark when the site began. David has an excellent sense of hot young straight guys who are into doing gay for pay porn and knowing how to encourage them to stretch their limits. He is the master in my eyes.

I interpret David's comment in this video as meaning that the ratings of the best scenes and models today are not going to the straighter guys and that the typical fan in 2021 is more interested in the sex than the sexuality of the models. You and I SFPS01, are more in the minority in today's world. I know that Rep, Jay and maybe a few others, also like the straight type guys but the silent majority rules. I don't expect Broke Straight Boys to go back to it's origins today, but an occasional "Ethan Steel type" would satisfy my desires for a taste of the old concept.

Well there’s also another issue with the members and the ratings. You get a guy like Ryan Pitt or Elijah Scott who are actually straight, and the members give them shitty ratings because they’re not twinky or “cute” enough. I think looks are more of a factor than anything for most of the silent members. Looks are never the issue with me, because I’m the least pickiest person on the forum. I prefer the straight or straighter models, but it is what it is. We’ve been talking about this for a long time and it seems that it’s been addressed that it’s just too complicated to find them. But as I said....we have been given them, but they’re never “cute” enough for most.

I would also put Danny Cruz into that mix. I was very taken with him and looked forward to seeing more progression into what I hoped would be some great work. Because in my eyes he was not just handsome and sexy but because he also came across as a very affable guy and a decent person. But given that he was straighter (even in spite of admitting to having sex with one friend) and he wasn't comfortable jumping head first into bottoming and so on...and including that he didn't have a perfect twinkish body type, he didn't get really high ratings from the overall membership. So they weren't eager to invite him back for more work.

So yes. For those of us who really like watching the straightest appearing guys try out gay sex for money, they do end up with a type of discrimination if they don't perform gay sex with more gusto from the very beginning. Elijah for me is exactly the type of straight guy you would see in the halls of high school who's on the football team. We gay guys sometimes fantasize about what it would be like ever getting ever getting those straight jock types of guys to cross over to the gay side and either have sex with them ourselves or watch them have gay sex with someone else. So for me, having the privilege of watching Elijah get naked and let another gay guy touch him sexually and work him over, was a bit of a dream come true. :)

It didn't bother me that Elijah did not have a perfect twinkish 125 lb swimmer's build. One aspect that I really like about Broke Straight Boys is that they find not only the occasional knockout gorgeous guys, but also the more traditional "boy next door" type of guys. The latter may not seem gorgeous at first glance, but just like a boy next door who may seem more plain-ish at first glance, he grows on you very quickly when you give him time and a chance to shine. Then you see him as beautiful. :)

Having seen his work at Chaos Men, I predict that Aiden will be very good in his upcoming Broke Straight Boys scenes. Until this interview, I thought him to be a very masculine dude with a hot bod and probably a gay for pay straight guy. This interview cut both ways as his Marine service reinforced his masculinity, while he came out to us as gay. For gays who are attracted to masculine guys, I think that is a good thing. I have no problem with effeminate gays, but nor do I have any problem with masculine gays or anyone in between for that matter. Based upon his prior scenes at Chaos Men, I think that we have a lot to look forward to.

Danny was a big favorite of mine as well. I liked that he communicated with us here on the forum and told us some of his personal experiences with gay friends. He also told us that if he returned he would consider bottoming. We were told by Sha later on that his ratings did not warrant his return. I was disappointed. And I found him attractive as well. As former forumite Robb would say, "I'd do him".

I think that it was David's "Nobody cares anymore . . . " remark that set you off. But if you put that aside, but for Aiden's forthright admission that he is gay, he does look believably straight, which his interview reinforces with his Marine service background. You have many times in the past said that your preference was for straight or believably straight models, and Aiden's body does meet the latter. I've seen his work at Chaos Men, which is very good, and, until I just watched this interview I honestly thought that he was a straight gay for pay model. So if we refrain from punishing him for his being out and give his work a chance, I think that this young hot Marine veteran will look believably straight even though he is not.

KG, I hold no ill will towards David nor towards Aiden. David works for BluMedia and is doing exactly what is profitable in the porn market today. And Aiden is very handsome and was forthright in telling us who he is and what he is all about. I am just stating my personal preference in porn. I was never a member of Chaos Men or any other gay porn site that features gay guys having sex with one another. It is just not my thing. I am a gay man who when involved in relationships in the past was always with fellow gay men, but when it comes to the fantasy of porn, I get off to straight guys. No offense to anyone. I am just stating what I get off to watching in my fantasy world.

But as I said....we have been given them, but they’re never “cute” enough for most.

Its not only the "cutness factor" its also the sex factor. In the past when I filmed Broke Straight Boys in the early days...most of the boys were good looking guys, but the action was the same ole same ole scenes and very routine. I think the mindset of members back then had a different expectation. Back then, the models were much different from today's groups. Back then these guys were mostly bisexual but on the straighter side, they were in no shape or form going to hook up later in life and live a gay lifestyle (its already been proven because the boys I do keep in touch with from past years are married, have kids, getting married or have kids with girlfriends and they most definitely live a straight life style).

As time went I am not sure how Broke Straight Boys morphed into what it is today and the mindset of members. As of current, I don't make the hiring decision, its now a group effort between myself and management. If it just happens we hire two very straight boys, I will say, the ratings will be lower, and scene ratings would be lower and we would get feedback the scene is boring, and we would get major negative feedback from this type of scene, when back in the day, the members would rave about the scene and say it was the best scene we've seen and its so hot.

Now, its about hardcore action, starting off with oral and moving into raw hardcore anal action. We have to show different sexual positions, we have show kissing, rimming, toe sucking, spanking, cum swamping....orgasm inside the anus and the cum oozing out.....heck...I can't even speak anymore during the sex scene (where back the day, the members love my banter) now, I have to do my interview first...its on a sperate part of the site. Then we have to take the main action hardcore scene and place it as the update and the last and final interview is again considered in the behind the scene interview. If we did it this way back then, the members would have freaked out in a bad way...but now, nobody wants to hear my banter...I have to keep silent and film the scene.

Even models today...these guys consider them Pansexual, non binary, non conforming, CIS male. We have straight acting boys that want to transition into females to become lesbians....2020-2021 It has become a new sexual revolution....you can't even say to a guy your gay, or straight or bisexual without them being insulted because I am using the "wrong term".....I am a old school homosexual man and this new sexual revolution is all new to me and there mind set.

Case in point...yes...Ethan Steele is back. He considers himself straight...he gets along with the other guys while they are here, he respects everyone's sexuality and he is very comfortable in his body....he admits to me he is not attracted to guys...and as he is here, all he does is on his phone snap chatting with 6-females, he has a girlfriend...but on camera, he will suck the dick, kiss, and do mostly everything we ask but he will not top...he is super nice guy, very cute in person and for the most part, a Broke Straight Boys So is he really straight...perhaps bisexual on the straight side and even for him a lot of members like him while others are bored with him because he doesn't have true gay sex.

So my questions to members, how do we hire a straight being believably straight but yet he performs doing gay sex...doesn't that water down the straight factor...Why do most of the members give higher ratings to the non-believably guys that give us a hardcore sex show and have full gay sex, while the ratings are lower for guys that are believably straight and give us less? Can you really blame management or the production team for what the members like to see and watch or vote higher ratings for the guys they like the most.

I think right now in today's world, Broke Straight Boys is giving a lot...we are the only studio that really gives you the personality of the guys, we have a mix of all sorts of guys filming...yes some are gay, some or bi, some or curious, some are bisexual but on the straight side...so we mix them all up with all sorts of guys. We have a very interactive group of members and yes...some scenes are going to be hotter then others and its all a matter of taste at the end of the day.

Thank you David for speaking the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. lol I completely understand and can vouch for what you say about the membership here back in the days of Broke Straight Boys-1. So while I understand and accept what the site is today, I still speak my mind and discuss my preferences and I am especially appreciative that Ethan is returning although not the highest rated performer here, but he has all the qualities that I enjoy in a Broke Straight Boys Thank you David, Mark and Sha and whoever else may be responsible for bringing Ethan back. I am thrilled.

I always use Ryan Pitt as an example, because he lives a straight personal life. He tweets clips occasionally with girls in his bed. At Broke Straight Boys he was willing to do pretty much everything, but to some he looked too old or he just wasn’t hot enough for them, despite the fact that he’s 25 and quite a few of us constantly commented about how we loved him. Still, people gave him shit ratings just like they gave Elijah Scott shit ratings who showed progression in every scene. My point was there are a lot of models that come here on the straighter side that will do a lot of what the members want and for some reason that’s not good enough. I like Gino and he’s hot, but after 2 trips to the house it doesn’t make any sense for him to continue if he’s not willing to do something else... even just kiss for 3 minutes. What’s the point in watching the same scene over and over and over again with different partners? I’m not saying Gino shouldn’t be here, but if we’ve hit a wall after several scenes, it makes more sense to give the work to someone else. I feel like a broken record when I have to say for the 50th god damn time that I don’t care if any model bottoms if they’re not comfortable with it. I do, however, expect a little progression along the way. There’s all this talk about watching straight guys pushing their boundaries. Well let’s see it? There’s nothing about pushing boundaries if the model is only doing the same thing in every single scene.
I wasn’t a member in the earlier days of Broke Straight Boys, so all I can speak of is the talent in the last 5 years.
I am truly happy that Ethan is back. He did show progression over his scenes in the past, but I don’t want him to go back to this restrictive performer.
And Ethan’s ranking isn’t the greatest, which is fine by me, but where are some of the straighter boys who are ranked higher? James Dawn, Cody Smith, etc.
If exceptions can be made for Ethan, why can’t they be made for Ryan Pitt or Elijah Scott?

Added: this isn’t pointed at any specific person. There’s been quite a few people discussing the “straight boys shouldn’t have to bottom”, so my comment about saying for the 50th gd time isn’t directed at any specific person. Just a general comment.

You're whole post is so true David. And as for the first paragraph above I totally agree. That is the million dollar question. If you could thread that needle and keep both sides of the straight model/gayer model divide happy at the same time...that would be awesome. But I don't know if it could be done with even an 80%+ rate of success. If you had the wisdom of King Solomon and could figure out a way to keep both sides of the audience happy at the same time...without having to cut the baby in half...(LOL)...you would indeed be a genius.

And as to your last points I totally agree that Broke Straight Boys goes out of its way to try to give us more than other studios in getting to know the models as real human beings. That has always been a plus and a unique niche aspect of the "reality amateur porn" genre that Broke Straight Boys has always been famous for.

My all time favorite model on this site is Logan, with Tanner and Jake a close second/third. I tend to love the models who are handsome (in my opinion), have a nice build (not too thick, not too skinny, mostly tattoo-free) and is a great performer in their scenes. Over time, I have given up on the straight/gay/bi/curious/gay 4 pay aspect and just focus on my affection and attractiveness for the model and the entertainment value they bring in making a scene hot or sexy or raunchy. A bland model, regardless of how they identify sexually, is a turn off and a hard pass. Sometimes a scene with a vanilla-type model can be saved by a creative and enthusiastic scene partner. The best thing about Broke Straight Boys is that the next video is just around the corner and sometimes you find magic (chemistry between models ) when totally unexpecting it.
