This is my understanding. Because of COVID-19 they could not film in Atlanta. As things opened up a little. The studio in Florida that shoots CBP was able to shoot because they have an extensive quick lab for the models that added COVID testing. Mark ask David and his partner Eddie who were the original producer/filmers of BSB to start filming again. They personally decided to try the original format that got BSB started. I know it seems out dated to many new members. They made adjustments right away. Because in the old days they started with jack offs then oral and finally anal if they could talk the boys into it. Many people complain that this wouldn’t fly these days and they went right to oral and anal. So I believe they are listening to requests and suggestions.
Each version of BSB has met with objections when it changed. I wasn’t here for all of the versions but my long time forum friends have told me of many complaints were always registered every time anything changed. No exception this time. I personally enjoy the original concept reboot. I’m a member of a few sites and most of them have a bit of a story behind what the scene is about. Example someone fucks their sister’s boyfriend, that’s a favorite of mine because I’ve done it in real life. lol. BSB was based on the idea that straight guys are brought in to do gay for pay sex. Many of us were disappointed in the last few years when there was almost no pretense of straight guys at all. I know there is no way to please everyone, but if your idea of straight guys who come in to do gay for pay should right off the bat, kiss rim and be passionate about each other, that’s just not even realistic. That doesn’t mean that you can’t talk gay for pay performers into trying more and more things. But if you like the original idea of the site and that’s what you signed onto as many of us did. The reluctant straight guy is the hook. But if you are just into wild passionate gay sex. Well it’s probably not your thing. I’m sure there is a balance somewhere but there are tons of sites because there are tons of different things people want to see. BSB has changed several times. It’s always a big adjustment. We have a current situation where we can actually talk to the owner and the producer and they often answer in real time. That’s something I don’t think exists anywhere else. I find thus really nice, refreshing and fun.
I continually find it amazing how Rep and I agree on this subject, despite the fact that he joined the forum in 2016, eight years after I did and long after the days of
Broke Straight Boys-1 ended, and the fact that he wants to see all straight boys fucked whereas I want the straight boys to remain total tops. But we both agree that the formula of having a believably straight boy show up at
Broke Straight Boys for the first time being brand new to gay porn and possibly to gay sex is the "secret sauce" that makes
Broke Straight Boys work for us.
Over the last few years, I have been totally bored with the majority of the models and sex scenes presented on the site. Most seemed totally into gay sex from the git-go and most scenes started with kissing and tender touching leading to deep throat blowjobs, rimming and eventually fucking in a variety of positions, which is exactly what is presented on typical gay porn sites. I joined
Broke Straight Boys to see straight boys having first time gay sex for money and over time expanding their boundaries. And then to see some begin to enjoy the sucking and fucking despite their reluctance at the start was the magic of
Broke Straight Boys for me. When they started off with a passionate kiss it was why is this
Broke Straight Boys and not any other site on the web?
Of course there have been a small handful of exceptions for me in recent years including one of the hottest boys I've ever seen doing porn and that is
Jake Spencer. He may have been gay but he only topped and he was so handsome and so naturally good at hot sex. But he is one out of 100 for me. And we have had the straight tops like
Ashton Taylor,
Jonny Cox,
Elijah Scott,
Axel Green and the boy who "stole" my heart,
Ethan Steel. lol But those are exceptions for me.
I applaud the new direction of the site but it stands to reason that just as most of the original forumites are all gone when the site went from straight to mostly gay, I suppose the current membership who liked the recent stuff will balk at the change back. Ownership and management may decide to go back to the "broke gay boys" concept if they feel that will be more profitable. I won't be happy but I will always express my honest and true feelings on this forum, as long as we are free to do so and if the day comes when we cannot, then I shall exit the site stage left.
