I scrolled back in the forum, because I thought I'd seen a thread on this subject awhile ago . . . but hadn't had an opportunity to see the scene, and didn't want to comment before I had. Anyway, I didn't find the thread tonight, and maybe that's just because I need new glasses!

At any rate, I gathered from the comments underneath the scene that some people were disappointed . . . but I wasn't. I don't think I've ever seen Damien Kyle so "UP-CLOSE and PERSONAL" (I really loved those super-close shots of Damien Kyle giving head while he jacked off in the back of the car): and I thought he did an amazing job in this scene. Plus, it was kind of raw and unvarnished, in the way I thought Broke Straight Boys fans are supposed to like! LOL!

I get your point, insofar as Salem seemed a little standoffish in this one, but. . . . I don't think I have ever seen Damien that physically CLOSE to the cam, before - it made me feel like I was in the back seat with Damien Kyle - - - and that's what I liked about it. I dunno, Beth ~ I imagine these are aesthetic "deficiencies": closely related to my inability to appreciate Bach, as I ought.

Perhaps it is just because my eyesight is failing - more likely, it is because I am just a little bit OCD. But there is always, inevitably, one guy in the scene, who is my guy, in the scene - whether it's Jason, or Paul, or Damien Kyle, or Blake. . . . and that's where my attention is fixed. . . .

I appreciate when the chemistry is good, in a scene - inasmuch as it serves the purpose of "my guy" in the scene, and it is giving HIM pleasure, and happiness, and bringing out HIS best performance. But since most scenes are profoundly asymmetrical to me, anyway, it doesn't bother me if I see a PROFOUNDLY asymmetrical performance ~ as long as the model I'm invested in, does a great job. (And inspires me, like Damien Kyle did, this time.)

Beth, this is probably why:
*I still truly love a good and passionate solo scene - like Tom Faulk's debut, on College Dudes.
*I never saw a group scene I liked: on this site, or any other. Such scenes don't allow me that kind of focus, I require, on the (almost inevitably) ONE model I like best.
*I can watch straight erotic video (like Hakan Serbes topping umpteen Spanish girls): and truly enjoy it. Because (as a lot of my gay friends tell me, with more than a hint of laughter): " 'A', you have a unique ability to close one eye." I suppose this comes down to my limited tastes, and limited field of vision. But, as a musician, I don't like counterpoint. (I've been notoriously unappreciative of Bach, over the years - a failing for which my sister's friends tease me unfailingly.) I even have trouble singing a duet.

What I appreciate MOST, is the single, beautiful, melodic line, which I can follow up and up and up, through its lovely arc, until it reaches its gentle (and beautiful) conclusion. Because. . . even in the realm of erotic video - in each and every presentation - I truly am, at least on any particular occasion (because of the deficiency of my aesthetics, and intellect) a "one-man-guy."
