I joined
Broke Straight Boys in April 2011, first porn site. I joined the forum a month later. There are others who have been with the site and the forum from its inception, or close to it. So I'll leave to one of them to answer about the old days.
From my perspective, what I pay in monthly membership fees is well worth it just from a
Broke Straight Boys viewpoint. While I have been known to criticize management for what I perceived are its shortcomings from time to time, I've also praised it when they have taken what I consider to be positive steps to make the site better.
But there will be no site that satisfies everyone all the time unless it is a tightly drawn fetish site which would be liked only by people who share that fetish. I joined
Broke Straight Boys because I thought it would provide me the type of porn I enjoy the most and which reflects my sexual background and proclivities. I'm not a big fan of solos, but I watch them because I pay for them and every so often there will be a model who can make a solo a very sensual experience. I'm not much of a fan of oral only scenes, but I watch them for the same reason I watch the solos. As you can deduce, I'm a fan of anal scenes, and even some of them can be less than stellar, but for the most part they satisfy my needs. The question is and I would imagine always is for anyone, are you getting what you consider to be your money's worth from the site. I do and that's why I continue to be a member. If the time should come when I think otherwise, then I would cease being a member.
Now as to the BONUS sites - they are just that - FREE acces to other sites without paying any more money. I didn't even know about these bonus sites when I joined
Broke Straight Boys I joined because of what
Broke Straight Boys was offerring. There are so many of these especially when you look at all the sites available on the
HSBoys site. Again, some of these sites might be suited to some and not others, but there is a plethora to choose from.
In so far as
Straight Boys Jerk Off I notice that your are new to the forum. In the past this question has been asked and Mark, the owner of BluMedia has told us that the site is no longer making new videos, but he is retaining it as a bonus site because it was his first site and he knows that some members like going back to watch certain scenes on that site. And he makes the perfectly valid point that for new members of
Broke Straight Boys, the
Straight Boys Jerk Off site will also be new.
And then of course there is the forum. I have been told by the members who have been here for many years, that there is no other gay porn site with a forum for members. I'm old and all this forum business was new to me. But I decided to try it and I enjoy using it. For the most part it can provide a place for lively discussion of not only
Broke Straight Boys related matters, but also general topics of interest as well. It is usually conducted in a civil manner, although I will have to say that the recent topics of
Lucas Weston and barebacking generated some of the most viscious and mean-spirited comments that I have witnessed and was very distressing to me. But that is the exception, not the rule.
I don't know whether or not all of this rambling has been helpful to you. I hope one or more of the longer-term members posts here to give you the perspective from that viewpoint.
But in the final analysis, you can use the forum to make suggestions, critique scenes, ask questions. In the end, however, you and only you can decide whether or not you are getting your money's worth here. And the answer you give yourself will determine your future course of action. I hope you stick around, because I think it is a great site, and Mark is continually making improvements to the site.
