I really don't think they are racist! The statement Damien made on the TV show, coupled with a statement Paul made recently, has been blown out of proportion. I really think their "target" of choice was, a person, (who was black) Damian Christopher and some of his behaviors and interactions with them, fueled this entire thing. Damien Kyle in fact, has many fans of all races, Paul has ethnicity ....I think it's time to let that BS go!

The wonderful thing about "free speech" is that if you make an offensive comment which is completely off topic, others get to expresss their opinion about what you said. Caribou decided to make an offensive remark. Others including myself decided we did not like it and expressed our opinion.

Your mileage of course may vary form ours.

Thank You. I am but a simple man. With nothing but a High School and Beauty School Education.
But sometimes I just get pissed off.This is My Forum too.
And I have the right to say what I want. Even if I don't use the best grammar.
I don't ever try to hurt. But I don't like seeing people I do like hurt. I apologize if I offended any one. But I have always said what I feel on this Forum.

I'm happy for them, really, but I always view young marriages with trepidation. Marriage or partnership is REALLY DIFFICULT (I've had... ah... few). I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but I wish that young people who meet and fall in love would take several years to make the leap. The statistics on divorce for people who marry before age 25 are not encouraging.

Now that gays and lesbians can marry, many will find wonderful lives together but there's little reason to believe they'll fair better in the divorce rate. It'll be interesting to see.

I sense words of wisdom in your post Stripe. Actual legal marriage is a relatively new institution for us gay people. But the divorce rate of straight marriages is telling in the fact that it's not an easy commitment to make work in the long term.

It will actually make it easier for same sex couples. Under the old system, one partner or his/her family members could do all sorts of nasty things to the other partner. Now the law will give the same protections as are given to heterosexual spouses under the law.
