Although a controversial day in the eyes of the First Nations of this Country, let us reflect on the historical implications of this remembrance. Columbus opened the door to the greatest Nation on this Earth. Let us continue to celebrate the Spirit of what we as Americans represent.

I like the way you have chosen to look at today's holiday Louis. There can much to criticize about the treatment of the Native Americans here in the Western Hemisphere. But we can also look upon the European discovery of America as a reason to celebrate the existence of our country as well.
