I can't tell you how many times I used to excitedly comment when I discovered a model who's first scene I watched was on Broke Straight Boys, and then discovered them in a scene on another site. In my travels, the number has become, TNTC, which from my days of working in a Laboratory stands for: Too Numerous To Count! It's been interesting to me that, some models may have used the opportunity to explore/expand who they are like Sam and Trent, and some just find it a way to make some serious money while going through college. I've even seen some of the lest likely to appear in porn, get their start here and get more work on other sites. Did you also happen to notice Jerek Miles on NDT while you were there? The best part of my discoveries have been, I saw them here first! That's the on thing that Broke Straight Boys has tried to provide members. Fresh, new faces. And the operative word here was, "That's the one thing that Broke Straight Boys has tried to provide"....with the exception of a few instances....which include disclosed and non-disclosed prior work, the guys that we see are fresh new faces for the most part. The number of sites out there are astounding! If a model (or potential model) really wants to work, they will find a company who is willing to make that happen. If there is a fantasy to be fulfilled , there's a site that will provide for such! During the early Broke Straight Boys scenes, even when David was the director, there were a lot of models featured who'd not only done work prior, some are still working! I challenge any member to visit any of the Male Spectrum clips included in the Bonus sites we get, and see how many former Broke Straight Boys models from that era you discover!

Talking of fresh new faces, we really do need some more. You've pointed out something that we talked about years ago. That being that Broke Straight Boys tries very hard to find new amateur talent unseen on the rest of the Rainbow Blvd of gay sites. David admitted to us that in the very beginning of the site as he was first getting things up and running, that he did hire some models (presumably bi or gay) who had done work elsewhere. After he perfected his formula for the scenes and started getting a good steady flow of amateur applicants, then he got very selective in hiring only new talent. If he made an exception to that rule he always told us up front. Such as with "Porn" Shane "Willis".
Sometimes Broke Straight Boys has gotten burned by being lied to by an applicant. They claim they are new to the industry in order to get hired. Then their past work history comes back to show the deception. But that's not Broke Straight Boys's fault when they hire a model in good faith of the fact that they're first time amateurs, when they're not.
Also TNTC is the number of new posters who would come in and gleefully try to "out" models for working on other sites and then landing on Broke Straight Boys Sometimes their agenda was to call Broke Straight Boys a fraud because they had already seen "gay" model X, Y, or Z on another site before coming here. Usually they were confused on the timing of which sets of scenes were filmed for the different companies. Then we would tell them to compare the dates of release for the scenes. Invariably they would show that the model in question did his scenes on Broke Straight Boys first, and the others later. Not the other way around.
As you say Betu, if a model isn't under an exclusive Broke Straight Boys contract, the company has no control over what the models do after they leave here.
