is it JUST ME, or does this see a BIT momotonous? By that I mean, (and nothing against him), but 2 SEPARATE UPDATES, vs 1 UPDATE and 1 BTS IN THE SAME WEEK-for a NEWBIE?? I'm lost!

Now I can see this if it were someone like Zander Floyd, or Ronan Kennedy, or BRODY, that have been on the site awhile, but (again), a NEWBIE, with TWO solos, back to back?

Is it just me that will be skipping these, or do others feel the same?

I am posting a poll wth this to see how many agree/disagree with me.

Thanks for listening to me banter!

as in my post above, unless it is with a very popular or hot model, I am not one that enjoys the frequency, of some of the models

Well the introducing will be moved to the BTS, so not really back to back scenes. He looks cute though!

I actually like the idea of the BTS being right when a new model introduced. I might be wrong about this, but it seems like until recently that much of the intro videos were always shown around a month or so after the model started. Seems like we'd learn more about the model while being interviewed right before the scene. That might be okay with a solo, but weird if another model is sitting with them.

maybe the BTS scene should happen after he does more than a solo and we get to know him better

Hard to say Joey... Sometimes people are grateful to get a sense of a model's personality and story before they see him undress and perform. Some may say that it helps to prevent him from just being objectified as a sexual object right out of the gate. So there's some pros and cons to doing it either way.

Other times the model's personality or story may rub some people the wrong way. Then they may not give him a fair chance of winning them over by the time he starts performing. Given all the variables of different personalities and tastes among models and subscribers, I don't think there is a one-size-fits-all answer to Bob's question.

I don't understand how this is an issue. the behind the scene episode with ricky is an introduction. the subscription Broke Straight Boys episode is a solo.
I think bts episodes should offer a look at the models before showing them undressed.

One is a Behind The Scenes and the other is the regular solo jerk off scene. There are not two solo scenes in a row. Question is moot as far as a poll is concerned.

Not sure if I would want to see just 2 jerk off scenes back to back....but if they were using Dildo's or other toys in the second might be ok....

Bob,

You have an interesting point. I do not consider a behind the scenes as a solo. I do think it is odd to have them back to back. I agree with Tampa that the subject of when to do behind the scenes could be a mixed bag. Joey is somewhat on the right side about being done after another scene is released. But I would like to take this one step further. First, lets look at last years solos.

From Jan. 2014 throught the end of October there were 17 solos shot. I used the end of October as the cut off date since there may be follow-up scenes in the works. So what did I discover?

Of the 17 Solos scenes we have the following breakdown:

1 - Did only a solo.
1 - Did solo and 3 BTS (no sex scenes).
4 - Did solo and 1 other scene.

So about 1/3rd of the models did 2 or fewer scenes. Would it make sense to film a behind the scenes before the model has shown he is willing to stay? It takes time and money to do the BTS. Why shoot it early before we know if the model has staying power? If not, why bother. Based on this I think the Behinds the Scenes needs to be done when a model shows staying power and high member comments/ratings.

For your information the 6 models above were: Kael Diggs (solo & 3 BTS), Dyaln Sharp, Adam Stripz, Salem Pierce & James Riley (1 solo and 1 other scene), and Cooper Douglas (solo).

Now on the positive side 6 of those I'd rate as Regulars (Vadium, Dakota, Tyler, Ronan Kennedy, Ryan Field & Brody). Regular meaning they have done multiple scenes and/or may be back. Again this is about 1/3 of the new class. One Model when in a different direction (Dimitri). The balance did a few scenes (maybe one weeks worth of filming or max. 2 weeks). Those include Jason Ryder, Jaden Bentley, Jake Tipton, Sebastian Wilde.

So based on this, if I were to decide when it makes sense when to film a BTS with a model, I'd vote for when a model has completed at least two weeks of filming at the Studio and his rating is in the 4.0+ range.

Live Long and Prosper,

Vicekid

I have to agree with both comments here!

And, I was glad that SGVBOB made some clarification to his previous statement:"Now I can see this if it were someone like Zander Floyd, or Ronan Kennedy, or BRODY, that have been on the site awhile, but (again), a NEWBIE, with TWO solos, back to back?"

Originally, the statement by it's self left me wondering, who makes the determination of which models qualify when everyone has their own taste?. Thanks for making that clearer as you were referring to your personal tastes!

Maybe this is a new way of introducing the models. Brice Jones and Antonio Drake both got BTS either before or after their solo - within days. Previously BTS were for special events such as Prides, Paul coming out to his family and other things. Why don't they just have the solo and ask the relevant questions within that scene ? To me, this new way of working is kinda losing the speciality of BTS.

While that is one way of looking at it, I feel anything that is not a solo or a sex scene, would qualify as a BTS material. For a moment in time, even College Dudes offered something called "Out Take" scenes. Sometimes they were shower scenes after the actual sex scenes or just the guys being interviewed, or even segments that were edited out of scenes because of something funny or unanticipated. Rather than have all of these become separate Categories, why not just call them "Behind the Scenes", or BTS?

Well the ones I quoted brought nothing new to either Antonio or Brice Jones. Let's see what other pearls of wisdom they come up with in the future lol.

I agree, Joey, after all, for us, the viewer, who's not to say he is a 'one and done'? Just sayin

maybe the BTS scene should happen after he does more than a solo and we get to know him better
