BluMedia has and will continue to be a family-oriented company. Our staffing teams in conjunction with each of our models review every decision that we make very carefully including those related to the health and well-being of our Broke Straight Boys

Our recent decision to offer bareback was not taken lightly. Since our debut, the request to offer condom-free scenes have been frequent but the volume of requests has soared in the last 18 months. Initially, we resisted the urge to “give the customer what they want”. Such a big decision warranted abundant consideration, ample research and careful planning. For the last six months, we have been completing due diligence to see if a method existed to provide this type of content in a responsible manner.

First and foremost, we will continue to offer scenes featuring condoms and our models will always be given the option, without penalty, to use a condom in their scenes. Models are made aware of the substantial risks associated with bareback sex. Everyone from the owner to the newest models understands that HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases are very real and potentially lethal.

The safety of our boys is very important to us, and we will always take the necessary precautions to make sure they stay free of HIV and other STDs. Broke Straight Boys who have decided to participate in our bareback scenes are tested within three days of their performance and receive a full blood panel test by the leading testing company in the industry. The test is comprehensive and covers a range of diseases including HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia. The standard test used by the industry is the 30-day antibody test. We, however, have opted to use a more sensitive test which will show HIV antibodies in the models system within the last seven days.

The scenes presented should only be used for fantasy and members should not deceive themselves into thinking that "everyone is doing it." Further, no one should assume that just because you see photos or film content of barebacking that sexually transmitted diseases have been miraculously cured. HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases are very real and potentially lethal. Please practice safe sex in your own life and educate yourself regarding the dangers of not wearing a condom before having sexual encounters. Visit AMFAR for more information about safer sex.

We respect the fact that not all of our customers will be supportive in this decision and we will continue to offer scenes with condoms for those that prefer to view our product this way.

A very thoughtful and clear statement of how you researched this situation before making this decision. Using your testing method is safe and can allow barebacking to take place. You reached your decision in a logical and well reasoned manner.

As I stated on another thread, I support this decision and I say that as someone who has been HIV positive for almost 26 years and have survived AIDS for 20 of those 26 years and counting.

I am glad that you have added barebacking to the menu of other sexual offerrings on the site and thank you for it.

Broke Straight Boys could place a banner on the homepage: "All models received a comprehensive STD test prior to recording". The risk of spreading a disease after such a test is practically zero. In movies dreams can come true... thanks to these tests.

Imagine two untested models having sex and a condom breaks... that's more dangerous already. As said before rimming is unsafe too.

East-Europeans porn sites I don't trust, so I won't subscribe to these. In America the porn industry does take safety serious, and I trust Mark as a human being. Broke Straight Boys is not going to get models sick, in reality it is more likely, if a model tests positive on for instance syphilis, they'll get treatment!

Thank you Mark. Although I'm keeping my thoughts on the subject private, I appreciate your clear, concise and well thought out statement.

Appropriate and well written. I appreciate that you have chosen to share this decision and the process with your members. I have asked for condomless scenes and was told "No way" out of concern for the boys. I believe you when you say you are a family-oriented company. That is what I like about Broke Straight Boys I don't know how, but I think it shows in the comfort level of the models. I feel it.

I believe this truly was a well thought out decision. I feel better knowing that you are using the best testing available. You are correct that porn is fantasy. We cannot and should not engage in unprotected sex, because we cannot test our partners. I don't know anyone who meets a potential hook-up, goes together to get tested, waits a week for the results, shares their results with each other in the clinic in front of the nurse, then have sex. It just doesn't happen that way. That is the difference between watching unprotected sex where the models have been tested, and actually engaging in unprotected sex where you have to take someone's word that they're "clean".

I know that the models are your family. The members are a part of that family too. We care a great deal about each model. That is why we want the models to join in on the forum, so we can get to know them. I feel assured that you would never allow any harm to come to one of our boys.

Love to you, and everyone at Broke Straight Boys!!

Thank you, Mark, for letting everyone know the complete process and due diligence that went into this. I know that it has been difficult for you, and that you never would have done something, unless you could find a safe avenue to do so.

The respect that you give to your members by explaining all of this, is also appreciated. As the owner you were under no obligation to explain anything, and that is just another example of why you have earned to respect of so many of us.

Mark, I have read your statement above and respect your attempt to justify your decision. As you indicated, some of us will not be happy with the choice you have made. For those of us who currently participate in the forum and have carefully read your statement, we will understand the position you have taken and the precautions taken as well. However, for those who do not read or participate in the forum or for new members who may never see your posting, I fear that the example set will be potentially dangerous. I understand that you may have received a lot of requests for bareback scenes, but I am sure that your business would not have suffered if you had stood your ground. I am very disappointed with your decision and feel that business interests have trumped your image and possibly the health of some if not many in the future. Thank you for reading this.

I respect your honesty, but I wouldn't agree with the decision and to be honest I'm upset. But If the guys r aware it's up to them, they r risking their own health, as a med student I strongly stand against bareback sex. And im disappointed because one of the main reasons for me joining this site was because it promoted safe sex fully, I think you should reconsider your decision,

As one who has supported requests for bareback scenes, I am, of course, very pleased that we will have a chance to watch one in a few days.

I do want to express my appreciation for the your candor, Mark, and hope that your statement will serve to calm the waters, as it were, for those who have expressed their strong opposition to the whole idea.

I appreciate you addressing this subject matter directly with the members of Broke Straight Boys The site continues to evolve and you are listening to feedback from your customers. I applaud your bold decision to satisfy the members who have requested this type of scene.

Great statement and it respects the freedom of choice and does not touch on being anti-choice or fascist in any way.
Bareback sex/condom-free sex is a real legitimate choice and ought to be coupled with a regular regime of STD testing as should all sexual encounters.
The integrity is expected and demonstrates that family-oriented does not mean straitjacketed or brainwashed.
cordially,

love you and wish you all the success in the world.
i hope your decision will bring you many more members.
while i will most of all miss this board and all my friends in the forum, bb makes me uncomfortable. as someone said in another thread, so what? forgive the old fool.

My two cents – naturally I enjoy the fantasy of bareback. But there's no way these kids really recognize a "choice." I hope the tests do keep these guys safe, but to me it seems incredibly selfish to ask kids to risk their lives to service our fantasy.

I agree with Mark that testing should/will make it as safe as possible. No pressure will be put on the guys to do bareback. I'd bet that the straight sex they have is more unsafe than what they will do. Whether the viewers want it or not is not that important aslong as the participants are aware of the risks and they decide to do it . I think alot of people are unaware of the risks even with condom use. When a guy sucks or gets sucked there is risk when there is rimming there are risks and cumming ON SOMEONE gives him risks. Testing on a regular basis before the unprotected sex is going to make it safer than it was before. As I said before HSBoys site has so much unprotected sex and there was no comments before. What about the flu epidemic maybe we should cancel all sex on screen and in our homes.

We do plan to offer a disclaimer on this site as well as to our affiliates similar to the second to the last paragraph of the statement.

I'm saddened.

Your commitment to safer sex has always been part of the appeal for me.

I say safer, because some of the activity is still risky (rimming, any exposure to semen).

You will lose me as a member. I know I have not been a consistent member, but the only vote I have is with my feet.
