A Salute to Nikola Tesla (Part 1)

I have noticed quite a number of Sci-Fi fans in the Forum as of late. I want to start this thread as a salute to Nikola Tesla and his accomplishments. He was among the first starseeds to evolve on this planet. So, what is a starseed? ("Starseeds" describe evolved beings from another planet, star system or galaxy, whose specific missions are to assist Planet Earth and her peoples to bring in the Golden Age at the turn of the millennium.) Nicola Tesla was more than a great scientist and engineer. He was a visionary who could see past the downfalls of a capitalist based society and during the industrial revolution he could for see the waste and destruction to our planet and our environment and he made every attempt to help the industrial age evolve while being stewards of this planet known as planet Terra or Earth. Nikola is by far the greatest inventor and scientist to have ever graced this planet. Nikola Tesla was perhaps one of the greatest inspirations to people like Gene Rodenberry and Georg Lucas.

Tesla did not place a high degree of value on money and he frequently mismanaged it. In fact he pissed off JP Morgan with several inventions. I.e. Tesla discovered ways to harness and direct electricity before Thomas Edison. In Tesla’s methodology there were no power cables or electrical wires that ran to your house. You just turned on the light and it worked. J.P. Morgan was furious. How can you bill people for the use of electricity? Edison reversed engineered Tesla’s work and discovered a way to measure electricity's use and flow going to and from people’s houses. It should also be noted that Nikola Tesla’s methods of handling electrical current were 100 times safer than any methods used to day. For these reasons Nikola Tesla did not receive his proper credits for his genius historically speaking. And there were times when he was denied patents for not revealing the technology behind his inventions. Among those patents not granted was his famous electric car. He built in the 1900’s . The car could travel at speeds of 90 miles an hour. Tesla developed three different ways to recharge his batteries. Among those methods he discovered a way to harness and direct free flowing energy emissions emanating from the zero point believed to be known as tachyon emissions.

Although it was never his intention; Nikola Tesla’s work was used to develop military weapons of mass destruction. The Tesla coil was utilized to direct high end energy bursts through the ionosphere to level a whole city. Then there was the Manhattan Project. Tesla explained that the way the device would work to cloak the ships was that it would surround the ships in a field of energy in kind of an interdimensional warp field bubble that removed the ship from time and space. Tesla suggested providing each member of the crew with a watch to synchronize their bodies with the dimensional phase shifting of the ships. The Gov’t refused to spend $500.00 per crew member on experimental technology. So when the ship dematerialized in one place and rematerialized in another hundreds of sailors and crewman were either lost at sea or they materialized insode of the bulk heads and decks of the ship. (Yes, Time travel is possible) After Tesla died the FBI ceased all of Tesla’s work as a matter of national security. It took Albert Einstein to decipher Tesla’s work enough to come up with a workable solution to split an atom to build the first atom bomb. It should be noted that Tesla believed in helping mankind and the majority of his inventions were in keeping with being a steward of the planet. "harnessing the forces of nature to meet human needs" Tesla believed that inventions that allowed man and nature to coexist was the most important contribution one could make. "I have had more than my full measure of this exquisite enjoyment," Nikola Tesla said. "My life was little short of continuous rapture."

It is because of our human capacity for greed, and our inborn animal instinct to be the strongest and or the best in our social class that we had let yet another gift given to the planet fall by the wayside. So, that capitalism may rule the land.

Please read this information. I am serious Nikola Tesla's work will blow your minds... Literally. I know this is a porn site and all but few men have impacted our society quite the way Nikola Tesla has. Besides I think he must have been gay or bisexual. Nikola Tesla was way to creative to have been straight. LOL OK, I know I am stereotyping. Does anyone els agree with me though? LOL.:001_tt2::001_cool: Please. feel free to comment...

He was definitely a great man and a visionary. It's so sad to see that capitilism even in the 19th century didn't want technology like free electricity brought in through the Earth's magnetic fields. There's no money to be made there. Many of his financial benefactors were furious that he was finding cheap sources of energy that were basically free. (And extremely Green and environmentally friendly)

Many people tried reversing the technology he discovered to take it back to a more primitive point where they could sell it to the public for lots of cash. Do you think that we can't make lightbulbs that would last for 10 or more years? Of course we can. But there's no money in non disposable light bulbs. Back then as today there are plenty of corporations that supress anything new that threatens their monopoly. When new technology comes out by a new inventor that threatens to disrupt the status quo then they buy the rights to the patent and pay the man/woman off. And we're all worldly enough to know what happens to those who refuse to be bought off. Do you think if someone came out today with a cheap environmentally friendly replacemnt for oil and oil products that he wouldn't end up being buried in a desert somewhere? Who knows many world shattering inventions of Tesla's (and others) have been buried or destroyed.

Thanks Tesla! You tried...

Saluting Nikola

Jayman and Tampa, congratulations for bringing Nikola to "light" (hmmm is there a pun in there?). His accomplishments are so, well there isn't a word I can think of that is superlative enough. Einstein and Edison get all the PR but Nikola is as brilliant (if not more) than either of them.

The problem is that if you asked the Hoi peloi who he is, they wouldn't have a clue, much to the disgrace of our educational system.

Thanks you guys for your creativity and thoughtfulness.

Jayman: Nikola is a character on Sanctuary (he's a vampire).

Yours always,

Jayce

P.S. I finally made it to "Senior" status!

Thanks and congratulations on your senior status.

Mitch actually inspired me to write all of that stuff. He doesn't know it yet. I must say that I am really not happy about how history has misconstrued the truth on these facts or why I never heard of Tesla until college.

I remember a history teacher in 8th grade marking my paper incorrect when I said Lief Erickson was the first to discover America. When Given a second try I said the Chinese people. I was still wrong. They wanted me to say Christopher Columbus. I told my teacher he was wrong and that Christopher Columbus discovered the Watlin Islands. He said that was not what he taught me in class. It took my parents talking to the principal to get my grade changed.

I remember a lefty prof in college who told us that Christopher Columbus has had 500 years of good press. Because Europeans wrote the history books. He went on to say: "When Columbus left he didn't know where he was going. When he got here he didn't know where he was. When he returned home he didn't know where he had been!" Which is all pretty accurate since he was convinced that he was in India. That's why we have been stuck calling Native Americans "Indians". Obviously he was not the first westerner or Asian to "discover" the New World.

Yes. Congratualtions on you senior status. As I've told Jayman though it doesn't make us eligible for any senior discounts. :001_unsure::biggrin:

Thank YOU Jayce. I'm glad you approve of Jayman's thread. I suspected that your spiritual beliefs and path are similar to ours. Now we need Lester (and others) to chime in. I sense that there are more people here who can contribute to this conversation. Especially with so many other scorpios here in the forum. Hint, hint. We eat this stuff up!

It is sad that I almost made it all the way through college before I learned about Tesla myself.

Thanks for encouraging participation Tampa and Tuscon. I think there is a lot here to digest and many people may be clueless as who Tesla ever was. Lester, angelone, vicekid, i2ina69, Gremlin, and others this thread is definitely important information that needs to be looked at to help propel people into the next century and beyond. We can no longer turn our backs on this kind of genius, especially now that we are looking for alternative fuel sources and more efficient and green technology that does not harm the environment. :thumbup1:

Tesla and the future

Jayman and Tampa:

I agree that we need to educate, however I like to be subtle. We change the world when we interact with others. Little do those others know that when they lurk and read our posts that they have been influenced/changed (hopefully for the better).

BTW I am an Aries. I have the reputation here in Tucson and at the Capitol complex in Phoenix for being a firebreathing, shit stirring, won't shut up advocate that is a real pain in the ass. Really I am mellowing in my doddering old age, but I will fight tooth and nail on principle. I just pick and choose my battles more now than I did. I've fried enough T-Cells and brain cells over the years........

Back to Nikola, we don't live in the same country we once new. We have lost a great deal of the community of spirit as americans over the years. Sacrifice and moderation are things other people should do, as long as it doesn't affect "me". His ideas make sense, but that being said they won't be implemented, researched, etc because we the people can't agree on anything.

All that may be true but you (plural) and I know that it doesn't mean we can just sit around and bitch. Sometimes you have to fight the battle knowing you'll lose the war.

As I was, am, and ever shall be, yours,

Jayce

Then we wage the lonely battle for truth. I would rather lose a war to apathy than not try to help others see a easier path away from rampant materialism and one life, one chance. We never know what small influences might get a few souls to ponder greater goals than they would have imagined before for their soul's evolution.

Eternally yours my brothers!

I must say that I am really not happy about how history has misconstrued the truth on these facts or why I never heard of Tesla until college.

History has always been and will sadly always be Pop Culture..... if you were to ask many who rode the midnight ride during the american revolution and most will reply Paul Revere. Granted Paul Revere did ride that night, he only rode for a few hours...... The author of a poem released about Paul Revere title "The midnight Ride of Paul Revere" (I think that is the title and the author eludes me) created the "pop"ular "knowledge of Pual Revere and his midnight ride. Paul Revere only rode for a few miles that night!!

Jayman,

Thanks for the education. I had never heard of Nikola Tesla until now.

Live Long and Prosper

A very humble, and brief comment: I use vintage lighting fixtures in my restoration projects that Tesla made possible through his research and creativity. Thanks Jayman for the heads up re: this special person. When I get back from the project site tonight I'll deffo follow some of your links, to find out less mundane details about this extraordinary person.

BTW, there are several people on the forum who came from other planets, right?

I am not telling. :001_unsure::w00t::thumbup1:

How is it that this great man is unknown. I never heard of him until now. Our teachers never mentioned his name, perhaps they did not know of him either? What a wonderful story about a unique and brilliant man.

I really am amazed at the number of people that don't know who he is. I am even more amazed that this man had inventions that cost very little and could be used to easily produce vital new sources of Green and environmentally friendly energy resources. :thumbup1:

Tesla electrified Niagara Falls!!

Tesla electrified Niagara Falls!!
In 1895, the Westinghouse Company and Nicola Tesla built the first hydroelectric alternating current system at Niagara Falls. Tesla was determined that the awesome power of the Falls should be harnessed to the awesome power of polyphase alternating current.

The War of the Currents almost bankrupted the Westinghouse Company!!

By 1897, the War of the Currents between AC and DC or between Westinghouse and Edison continued unabated. In 1895, Tesla's laboratory in New York City was totally destroyed by fire. Half a lifetime of priceless inventions were destroyed. Tesla usually worked through the night, but that particular night he was not in his shop, and miraculously escaped death.

Huge mergers took place between J. P. Morgan and Rockefeller controlled companies like Thomson-Houston and Edison General Electric to form the present day General Electric Company. This new General Electric Company tried to take over Westinghouse and force them to abandon AC. They insisted that Westinghouse STOP paying royalties to Tesla:

"One of the requirements was that Westinghouse get rid of the contract with Tesla calling for royalty payments of $1.00 per horsepower on all alternating current articles sold under his patents. Financial advisers pointed out that if the business which Westinghouse expected the company would do under the Tesla patents in the ensuing year was anywhere near as great as estimated, the amount to be paid out under this contract would be tremendous, totaling millions of dollars; and this, at the time of reorganization, appeared a dangerous burden, imperiling the ability which they were trying to attain for the new organization. Westinghouse strenuously objected to the procedure. This patent-royalty payment, he insisted, was in accordance with usual procedures and would not be a burden on the company, as it was included in costs of production, was paid for by the customers, and did not come out of the company's earnings. Westinghouse, himself an inventor of first magnitude, had a strong sense of justice in his dealings with inventors." (O'Neill, Prodigal Genius, p. 79).
Tesla saved the Westinghouse Electric Company by tearing up his royalty contract!!

In one of the most magnanimous acts ever recorded in human history, Tesla tore up his royalty contract with George Westinghouse in order to save his company from bankruptcy and the AC system from destruction. Tesla stood to lose over 12 million dollars in royalty payments:

"It would be a tough job for any executive, no matter how shrewd or clever, to talk a man out of a contract that would net many millions of dollars, or induce him to accept a reduction in rates amounting to millions. Westinghouse called on Tesla, meeting him in the same South 5th Avenue laboratory where he had purchased the patents four years before. Without preliminaries or apologies Westinghouse explained the situation.
"Your decision," said the Pittsburgh magnate, "determines the fate of the Westinghouse Company." "Suppose I should refuse to give up my contract; what would you do then?" asked Tesla.

"In that event you would have to deal with the bankers, for I would no longer have any power in the situation," Westinghouse replied.
"And if I give up the contract you will save your company and retain control so you can proceed with your plans to give my polyphase system to the world?" Tesla continued.

"I believe your polyphase system is the greatest discovery in the field of electricity," Westinghouse explained. "It was my efforts to give it to the world that brought on the present difficulty, but I intend to continue, no matter what happens, to proceed with my original plans to put the country on an alternating current basis."

"Mr. Westinghouse," said Tesla, drawing himself up to full height of six feet two inches and beaming down on the Pittsburgh magnate who was himself a big man, "you have been my friend, you believed in me when others had no faith; you were brave enough to go ahead and pay me a million dollars when others lacked courage; you supported me when even your own engineers lacked vision to see the big things ahead that you and I saw; you have stood by me as a friend. The benefits that will come to civilization from my polyphase system mean more to me than the money involved. Mr. Westinghouse, you will save your company so that you can develop my inventions. Here is your contract and here is my contract—I will tear both of them to pieces and you will no longer have any troubles from my royalties. Is that sufficient?"

Matching his actions to his words Tesla tore up the contract and threw it in the waste basket; and Westinghouse, thanks to Tesla's magnificent gesture, was able to return to Pittsburgh and use the facilities of the reorganized company, which became the present Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company, to make good his promise to Tesla to make his alternating current system available to the world." (O'Neill, Prodigal Genius, pp. 81-82).

By cheating him out of millions in royalty payments, Morgan and Rockefeller put a financial squeeze on the great inventor. Tesla had already lost a fortune because of the arson to his laboratory, and now he was severely strapped for cash to perfect his latest inventions. The arsonists could squeeze him financially, but they could NEVER stop the Niagara of new inventions that kept flowing from his fertile brain.
