Actually Jon, "12 12 12" reminds me that tonight is going to be the massive benefit concert at Madison Square Garden to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy, featuring what I consider to be the very best of the living and performing rock acts of all time.
The lineup now includes The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, Kanye West, The Who and Paul McCartney.
It will be broadcast live on multiple cable outlets, and my DVR has been set for days, and whatever I miss live, I will certainly watch in the days ahead.
As a side note, I just heard that Ravi Shankar died yesterday at age 92. He is the man who inspired George Harrison to play the sitar, which we first heard on the Beatles song, Norwegian Wood. Ravi also inspired George and organized the first super rock concert benefit with the 1971 Concert For Bangladesh, which I believe was also at Madison Square Garden.
